NASC Seed Donation
Download NASC Seed Donation formPlease read the information below if you are intending to donate seeds to NASC. Donations are greatly appreciated.
For seed donations to NASC (non US and Canadian users), please download the NASC Seed donation form. Fill in the excel file and return it via email to all@arabidopsis.info with the subject line 'Seed Donation to NASC'. The excel file includes 2 sheets, 'Person Information' and 'Seed Information'. The "Person Information' sheet includes information about the person submitting the form. This need not be the same as the actual donors or producers of the lines which should be included in the 'Seed Information' sheet. Please fill in both sheets and return via email to all@arabidopsis.info with the subject line 'Seed Donation to NASC'.
Please send the seeds according to the instructions below. The seed donation form is only for seed donations. Please contact NASC before sending DNA stock donations. NASC Stock numbers will be assigned when we receive your donation.
US and Canadian users should consider donating the seed to the US for your convenience US seed donation form - all stocks will be exchanged between sites.
Seed donation:
- NASC accepts seed stocks that are unique and which are likely to be useful to researchers and/or possess genetic attributes which should be preserved.
- For most seed stocks maintained as single lines, a total of at least 20,000 seeds (= 800 microliters = 400 mg) is required for preservation, to provide a moderate number of distributions and provision of seeds to NASC. If possible we would prefer 1 ml of seeds sent in cryovials.

We maintain pictorial representations of all visible phenotypes. Please include digital images representing the
phenotypes of your lines with your donation. We can also accept slides, negatives or glossy prints. We will return the original to you if requested.
